Alyssa Grenning was raised in midwest suburbia, where she was captivated by animalia and folklore from a young age. Drawing became her favored skill—an extension of her imagination and the means to bring myth to life and explore visual curiosities. After earning a degree in Illustration from Northern Illinois University, Alyssa relocated to Philadelphia in 2005, and pursued her own body of work parallel to various graphic design roles. She has held positions creating and art directing for print publications including Philadelphia City Paper (Philadelphia, PA) and The Sound (Portsmouth, NH). Her current personal work has evolved to include strange architecture, abstract forms, and embark on optical illusion.
